Boosie Badazz publicly accused DJ Vlad of repeatedly stirring conflict among Black public figures for content, after Vlad’s newest interview with Charleston White brought the rapper’s name back into the conversation.
What actually happened
In the new VladTV interview, Vlad and Charleston White discussed Boosie’s current standing with Vlad, including whether the two would ever work together again, along with Boosie’s separate ongoing dispute with Rod Wave over sampling older Badazz records without compensation Boosie felt was fair. The rapper responded on social media, accusing Vlad of continually bringing him up in interviews and specifically criticizing the choice to do so alongside White.
He argued Vlad seems fixated on pitting Black figures against one another for content, and pointed out what he saw as a contradiction in Vlad’s own history, noting that Vlad had previously spoken about White in strongly negative terms, to the point of seeming to dislike him outright, yet now appeared to treat him as a close ally. He suggested White was mistaken to view the relationship as genuine, framing it instead as Vlad using White while continuing to talk about him unfavorably when he was not around, and jokingly suggested White should start demanding payment for his appearances.

Where the Vlad-Boosie rift actually started
The tension between the two traces back to April, when Boosie announced during a livestream that he was done working with VladTV after the two could not agree on his interview fee. The two gave conflicting accounts of exactly how far apart they were. Boosie has said he only asked for 5,000 dollars more than his existing rate, while Vlad has said the actual gap was closer to 10,000 to 15,000 dollars above what the rapper had previously been paid.
Vlad has also pointed out that Badazz’s individual video viewership had dropped roughly 10 to 15% from a pandemic era peak of nearly 6 million views per video, offering that as context for his reluctance to meet the higher rate. According to Vlad’s account, when he called the rapper back to say he could not meet the proposed 35,000 dollar rate, the rapper called him cheap and ended the call.
What Boosie’s doing instead
Following the split, the rapper said he would move his interview content over to Patreon rather than continue appearing on VladTV, a shift that has left the two on separate footing ever since, with Boosie now taking issue any time his name resurfaces in a new Vlad interview.
