Kai Cenat says he is suing streamer Reggie, known online as Lil Rodney Son. During a Sept. 30 Instagram Live, Reggie accused Kai of grooming fellow streamer RaKai. Cenat, who has twice won Streamer of the Year, answered the same day on his own stream, rejected the accusations and dared Reggie to take any evidence he has to police.
RaKai has denied Reggie’s claim that he was abused growing up. He posted the denial on X on Sept. 29 and repeated it on Instagram Live. None of Reggie’s allegations have been proven. Nothing reported so far shows whether a lawsuit or police report will be filed.
That is the headline. The detail most people scrolled past is a comment Reggie posted three days earlier.
What did Kai Cenat say on his stream?
Cenat called the situation serious. He told Reggie to call the police the next morning and show them whatever proof he claims to have, and said he would be calling them himself. He said he still feels sympathy for Reggie and believes he is not himself right now. He also argued the accusations had crossed a line because they threaten his family’s livelihood and the future of children he does not even have yet.
He went further. Kai accused Reggie of pulling talking points from TikTok comments and presenting them as his own. He said Reggie had left out how he treated people close to Cenat, including insulting Cenat’s sister. He also said there was a moment in Alaska when people wanted Reggie dead, and that Cenat was the one who helped him. Afterward, Cenat shared a brief, cryptic post on X about putting yourself first.

What exactly is Reggie alleging?
Reggie claims Kai groomed RaKai and knew about something that allegedly happened to the young streamer. Those claims followed a Sept. 27 YouTube video in which Reggie said a family member took advantage of him when he was young. He has not made any evidence public, and RaKai has flatly said nothing happened to him.
How did the Clover Boys fallout start?
The fallout started quietly. Reggie said in late September videos that he felt pushed out of the Clover Boys and claimed Cenat had shelved him despite seeing his potential. At first he said he held no bad blood.
Then came the receipts. On Sept. 29, Reggie posted private Instagram messages. In them, he asked to talk with Cenat as a brother rather than as a content creator, and on Sept. 25 he asked Cenat to take a call he described as a cry for help. The screenshots do not show why Cenat never answered that last message. Fanum, a member of Cenat’s AMP crew, reached out privately and encouraged Reggie to focus on his personal struggles.
Why does this story hit differently in the culture?
Black men rarely talk publicly about childhood abuse. When one does, it should be heard with care. A disclosure like that is different from accusing someone else, and the accused deserves due process too. Both things can be true at once.
What gets lost in the clip farming is the person at the center who never asked for any of this. RaKai is a young creator whose name is now attached to a scandal he says is false. The internet turned one man’s crisis into content, and a kid became part of the storyline.
Is Kai Cenat really going to sue Reggie?
Cenat says he never planned to sue until these accusations surfaced. Reggie saw it differently. On Sept. 27, the same day he posted his YouTube video, Reggie commented that Kai was trying to sway his cameraman and was going to sue him. He added that he did not care.
Three days later, the lawsuit Reggie predicted became the one Cenat announced. Whether that makes Reggie right about Kai , or proves Kai’s point about where Reggie’s words were heading, is a question for police and courts. For now, the only thing either man has filed is a livestream.
